I have installed AdAware SE, Spy Doctor, MS Beta Spyware, AVG Antivirus. When I press Ctrl-Alt-Del to open Task Manager, this is being blocked as a pop-up. How can I force it to open please? I have disabled Windows Messenger via the add-in for AdAware.

    Thanks for your help.

If it's really being blocked it's either a problem with the OS files itself, or there is still a virus on your system. Chances are it's a virus, AVG isn't perfect.

If you run xp pro you can go to the command line and view what is running by typeing "tasklist" (it's like taskmanager). If you see something extra on there kill it by typing "taskkill /pid #" and then try opening the normal task manager. If you can figure out what it is, that is running it should be easier to get rid of it.

Alternativly you can try some other antiviruses. Maybe try trnedmicro's housecall, since it's free and you don't have to install it.

Can you detect which software is blocking the pop up window?? May be you could set a rule in that software to allow that pop up.
