Windows Task Manager override and problems with panda platinum.

I recently downloaded Panda Platinum. It is locking up my computer and also cutting off my access to the internet even though I disabled the firewall. I went to uninstall the software, however I kept getting "errors" during the uninstall. They were written in spanish, so I couldn't figure out what was wrong. The uninstall screens would continue to go to "finished", even though the program did not uninstall. I tried to delete it using "add/remove programs" in the control panel. It continues to tell me "cannot delete-file protected or in use". In the past I have used windows task manager to stop the process then delete the program. This will not work. It will not allow me to stop the process. I remember a program I used a while back that had a lightning bolt as the image on the shortcut. I actually think I downloaded it from MajorGeeks.com. It allowed me to stop applications/processes when I had to get rid of a hijack virus. Will this work for getting rid of Panda? Does anyone know the name of this file? Why is Panda causing problems with my internet?
