i was woundering i have all the processes running and all most all of them i have now clue what they are and there is few that is useing up to 20k of mem and my computer is running real slow and i thank this might be the cause of it all i was woundering is there a need for all these?

May I also suggest that you try

Process Explorer.

Ever wondered which program has a particular file or directory open? Now you can find out. Process Explorer shows you information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded.

Main point omitted from

, above, is that it will also tell you what programs (handles?) are hogging your CPU cycles.

I use Process Explorer. I sort PE to descending CPU use.
Then shrink the screen to show the top 5-6 users of CPU cycles.
Then minimise it so it is instantly available when I need to check something out. Works very well, excellent, in fact. Bazza
