Windows time and date settings after running combofix

I was checking my pc for any problems and ran through every step in the guide here for cleaning XP. One of the programs it has you run is Combofix. When it did this the program said it was going to temporarily change my clock settings, however, it never changed them back. Now my clock is stuck in military time (which I can't read worth crap, takes me a few mins to figure it out), and on my g15 LCD it no longer shows the day, just the date in yyyy-mm-dd format. It used to be something like Saturday Feb 19, 2008 type format. This is on windows xp pro too btw.

Would greatly appreciate any advice anyone might be able to offer.

Have you tried right clicking the date and time in the task bar. You should be able to change your settings there.

yes I have, and the time displayed is accurate, its just in 24 hour format instead of 12h and I hate it. it also displays the date differently than it used to, and doesn't display the day of the week it is, and I can't find any settings to fix it.

This happened to me, too. My regional and language options are set correctly, but I still have military time...any other advice out there?

Please forget my earlier post. I just figured out that I had to hit the "customize" button in regional options. After I did that, I was able to reset the way I wanted the time and date to appear, and everything's back to normal!

To change from 24 hr clock to 12 hr

click CONTROL PANEL/ CLOCK LANGUAGE AND REGIONS/ REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE OPTIONS/ CUSTOMIZE THIS FORMAT/ TIME there at the top you will see in blue time format change the upper case HH to lower case hh and it will give you a display with the 12 hr clock
