Windows Update and Windows Defender Help

Ok this problem just started I'd say about 3 days ago. When I try to update Windows Defender I get an error number 0x80245003 and when I try to do Windows Update it says Error number 0x80245003 also. I've tried reinstalling Windows Defender, it doesn't work, I've tried using Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer and that doesn't solve the problem either. I read about using the Windows XP disk to do a reinstall of missing files but I'm sort of leery to try it. Does anyone else have this problem or has had this problem and if so how did you solve it? Any help is appriciated. I also want to say thank you because I can't tell you how much you guys have saved my butt with all the useful download tools and just general help. So thanks a lot
