I have an Emachines E525 Laptop and it was doing an update and it says not to unplug or turn off while updating, well I thought it was plugged in and it was not so it turned off. Anyway it goes it "Windows Error Recovery" and when I try to put it in safe mode or last good configuration it takes me back to the Window Error Recovery. I have also tried to go to F8 and go to debugging mode and all the other modes and it goes back to Windows Error Recovery. I have tried to do everything for this computer, what can I do for this computer?

No guarantee at all that this will help but it is worth a try. Unplug ALL connected devices, disconnect the power supply, remove the battery and depress and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect the power supply and try a reboot.

    Hope it helps :)

I tried that and that does not work, any other suggestions. I will try anything right now.

Just one update, or a whole list of updates? Also, is this windows 7?

Can you boot into Last Known Good Configuration?

You may be faced with restoring your laptop to its factory condition, which you do by pressing F11 straight after power on. However this would mean losing any personal stuff stored on the computer, so if that is a concern you would need first to attach an external drive and boot from a bootable CD to copy all that stuff off. For that I would recommend you use a Puppy Linux CD. This boots straight into a simple operating system which does not need your hard drive at all and once booted up you can find your files and copy them off to your external hd.

If that is more than you feel like tackling then, unless you have a very knowledgeable friend you will need to use a repair shop.
