windows update optimiser

I seem to recall seeing a programme on MS (I think ???) that automated windows updates and patches, but also ensured that they were a) necessary and b) that they were downloaded in the correct order to avoid conflicts etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
I have just reinstalled XP on one of my computers and want to make sure it has everything it needs, but no more and also I want to avoid redundancy/overlaps and also avoid any conflicts!

Does anybody know of such a utility and where to get it?

you can turn on automatic updating in Windows XP. That might be what your thinking of. If you have a broadband connection it works well.

Actually, I have now found the program I was looking for on MS. It is called Daisy
