windows update problems

i can't add http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/. to my sites that i trust. When I try to it says it is in another zone and i've looked in the restricted and the rest of the options and see nothing under sites for each. Am i looking in the wrong place under the wrong name, or what?

More important I can't install any updates. I keep gettting a popup that initiates but failes to install any thing. It also doesn't give a error message and states to look at my history and that's it? I have lookes in the registry and my internet options and still can't find why I can't update. Any solutions?
