Windows Update Quickie

Quick question: if Im using a Laptop with an integrated OS, can I and should I download microsoft and windows updates as licensed user or not?

If your copy of Windows i legit then go for it.

If not, we can't help.

 

I wouldn't agree with that, I don't have many and my pc seems to run fine.

 

If it is a "Integrated" OS, the updates will not necessarily take.

 

I realize they are necessary, but the thing is this system came with the OS, and ofcourse I dont have the CD and the lisence, but I dont think it should count as pirate version, and if it does I heard MS puts some stuff in the upgrades that can damage the system...

 

Well M$ says get all the updates to be secure etc.

I, personally, think that they slow your computer down and aren't necessary - many on here would disagree with me on this and they're entitled to their opinion as I am entitled to mine.

At the end of the day it's down to you what updates you select and which updates you think you need (many people go for the security updates only).

 

But the question remains, does MS recognize my version as original or fake?

 

If you don't haven't purchased a copy or a license then essentially, you have a pirated copy. Unless of course it came pre-installed on your computer.

Run the Windows Validation to check if it's genuine.
