This computer came with Vista a year ago. I have sense upgraded to Windows 7. I've been running it since it was released. I've never had a problem until lately. About a month or so ago. There is a genuine advantage update that will not update. Once it starts to download the update it asks for a disc. I have tried to contact Windows about it, and I'm not surprised that they cannot help me. Especially since they Indian geek is reading from a script. I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light about this issue. I have attached a picture of the message.

That's the OGA (Office Genuine Advantage) notification you are seeing. If your MS Office disk is on hand, insert and proceed.

    Cheers..

Ayup... this happens when you've opted out of installing some component of office, and then later request it. With an OEM install like the OP has, there likely isn't much that can be done about it, but I've got into the habit of always performing a complete install of office, and I never have this issue any more.
