I have a laptop that has Windows Vista and it did have the think on the
right side that had the clock and a few other thing displayed when I
booted up but it no longer comes up. Would some one know what it is
called and how I can get it to come up again when I boot up?

    Thanks

An easy way to get your Sidebar back is to click on Start, type "s" (without the quotes) in the Search bar, and click Enter. Voila! Your Sidebar should open up immediately.

When you right-click on the sidebar and select Properties there's also a box you can check to allow it to start automatically whenever Windows starts, if you wish.
