    Hello,
I just recently bought a HP DV6707US Notebook with 2gb of 5300 and got some good advise from these forums to upgrade my ram so opted for this...

    OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit Laptop Memory Model OCZ2MV6674GK - Retail

now before my windows memory score was 5.5 and now its 5.4

i know its only a .1 difference but the ram i bought specs were better than the ones that came with the notebook so why did it drop the score?

i was looking in the bios but i cant find the good options in their not sure if their is a key command to unlock all the good bios options or what.

if some one could help me out would be most appreciated

hear is a link to my factory specs

Vista scores don't mean jack to me, other than making the user wanting to upgrade to no ends. If you want to see the real performance of your ram, use everest, sandra, super pi mod. I think this site hosts some of them. Or you can google.

Compare the new score against the old one. You have to swap ram out. Oh and in super pi mod, just do 1MB.

Since your laptop originally came with 2 x 1GB sticks and you replaced it with 2 x 2GB sticks, chances are you replaced the stock memory with RAM that has a higher latency. This could very well account for the .1 change in score.
