Windows Vista Product Guide

Not a bad read if your thinking of updating to Vista in January or are lucky enough to have it now, via volume licencing, MSDN, etc


It covers the key features of each version, which will allow you to choose which version of Vista is applicable to your needs, also covers the majority of functions, what the do and how to use them in total 316 pages of all about Vista.

Vista or Office 2007 users can view their respective doc version fine, however XP/server 2003 users will have to download the XPS Viewer and .NET 3.0 to allow you to read, download links I have supplied below.

as this package for XP now uses the final version of .NET 3.0 ( formaly WinFX ) if you have had any older betas/RC's installed you must remove them first, this tool will help if this is the case Pre-released Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Uninstall Tool , you may also need Microsoft Core XML Services 6.0 to be installed, download link in green above.

or use Office 2007 ( final or beta ) if you have that installed to download the .docx version ( in above DOWNLOAD link )




EDIT: for users of Office 200, XP and 2003, you can download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats which will allow you to download the .docx version of the guide ( 64mb in size ) and view via MS Word.

(do uninstall any older beta versions of the compatabilty pack first, if you had installed them )
