Windows vista to xp no connection

I have recently installed on a new computer windows vista 64bit
computer appears to work fine
tried adding another computer running xp to the network
the computer running xp is unable to acces the shared internet connection and shows limited or no connectivity to the network

1. What type of Internet Connection do you have?

2. How are your PC's connected. Directly to eachother? Through a router, switch or hub?

 

The IP of the computer is an external Interent IP.

I.e. you do not have a Local Network.

Get yourself a Cable/DSL Router.
