Agghhh Help please.

My computer wont let me download, save, update nothing. It keep telling me it's corrupted. I have done a virus scan but that stops half way into it and tells me it can't complete it.

We need some more info from you: what's the make and model # of your machine (please include any Service Tag identifiers), and what operating system version and Service Pack # are you using?

Also, if possible please download and run Speccy, a free system information tool.

When the scan completes select 'File', 'Save as Text file', name the report, and save to an easily found location such as your Desktop.

Be advised: the report will display your IP Address and Windows Product Key. You may delete this information if you so wish.

Then attach that file to your next post per these instructions: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post or File Attachment Tutorial.

Quick questions: have you tried booting your machine into Safe Mode w/Networking? If so, do the symptoms persist? And, have you tried using System Restore to revert to a previous Restore Point?

You might also try the Malware Removal Forum's Read & Run Me First thread.

Be patient - I'm sure other MGs will jump in shortly.

System:
Processor Intel (R) Core(TM2 Duo CPU P7450 @ 2.13GHz 2.13GHz
System type: 64-bit Operating system, x64-based processor
Computer HP-Touchsmart

I keep getting error code 1392
When I try and save it tells me that it's The file or directory is corrupt and unreadable.
It doesn't let me download anything not even the thing you recommended.

I hope that helps I am trying to look for more info for you.

 

When I hit download on the Speccy you recommended it just went to the page saying thank you for downloading but none of the boxes came up for me to click to run it.

I have tried restoring, but it keeps telling that there is no restore point, just tried it again and it just vanished. I have restored this computer in the past.

I am sorry but I have no idea how to try booting my machine into safe mode.

 

OK, I just noticed something on your website regarding FileZilla and am wondering if that has caused all my problems.
I tried deleting it and it came up with this error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

I think I fixed it!
I think my C drive is it? was corrupted. So I right clicked on it and did a scan and repair thing and the computer scanned it and restarted and I can save, download, delete things and everything. I feel like crying i am so happy.

Do you think that could have been the problem?
