Windows won't boot after Alureon removal

    Hi, I'm trying to fix my sister's laptop after MSE brought to my attention that the pc (Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit) was infected and suggested to download and run Windows Defender Offline...well I think you know what happened next lol..Windows will not boot and I cannot boot into safe mode. I get an option to either run a windows startup repair (which fails everytime), or start the computer normally, in which it will flash a BSOD very fast where I cannot read any error codes and then returns back to those two options. I've read a few posts and I've attached a FRST.txt. If you can please help it would be greatlyyyy appreciated.Thanks for your time and If there is anything you need please let me know...Thanks again

    Welcome to Major Geeks!​

    Download this >> View attachment fixlist.txt ​


    Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST64.exe on your flash drive.
    Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
    Run FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
    The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
    Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)​

    Now see if you can boot into normal Windows.​

    Hi, Thanks for your help and I am now able to boot into Windows :-D ...I have attached the requested log file...are there additional steps i need to take here?
