Recently I turned on my hyperthreading option for my CPU. It booted up, XP saw new hardware and then said to restart my machine. I did so and now Windows wont boot up at all. It goes back to the Dell flash screen and enters this perpetual loop.

I've tried turning hyperthreading off, no change. Safe mode, no change. Last working configuration, no change.

Tips? I have another processor lying around that I was going to put into the machine to see if it would counteract whatever it did my sorta resetting the computers configuration because hyperthreading isnt an option on the older processor I have.

The current processor is an Intel Xeon 2.8ghz.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try, disabling the "automatic restart on error", to see the bsod?

Yes I did do that. Nothing really differed.

What I did was went into a Tuneup Utilities back up of windows and restored to a few days prior after turning HT off.

I have XP Pro, I was under the impression HT was ok but for some reason it kept crashing.
