I am trying to install new software on a used computer I bought from my son. I am running Windows XP and the software is XP compatible. The message box I'm getting is titled 16 BIT WINDOWS SUBSYSTEM and the message is "C;\windows\system32\autoexec.NT. The systemfile is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications."

What's up and how can I fix this?
