Windows XP Context Menu Problem

When I open MY COMPUTER and then double click on LOCAL DISK (C), it opens a separate SEARCH FOLDER WINDOW.

If I right click on C: to open the context menu, the SEARCH is highlighted (bold) so this seems to be the reason why it is opening a SEARCH FOLDER WINDOW.

I need to get the OPEN function in the context menu to be the default (i.e. highlighted/bold)

Also - in the MENU BAR I went to TOOLS and then FOLDER OPTIONS
Under the GENERAL TAB, I have selected "Open each folder in the same window."
Also went to the VIEW TAB and unticked/deselected LAUNCH FOLDER WINDOWS IN A SEPARATE PROCESS.
So I can't understand why a SEPARATE Search Folder Window opens.

Can anyone please help - PLEASE NOTE that I have limited computer knowledge.

    THANKS from South Africa

Glad it was easy, you are welcome. :)

Did you use the "fix it for me"? I'd like to know if it should be recommended. Thanks.
