Hi ! I recently built a computer from a used motherboard and cpu. The Graphic card is Brand new. Everything else is from my old setup (worked like a charm before the little hardware update).

    Here's my setup:

    Thermaltake TR2-500W PSU (Brand New)
Athlon 64 3400 + (Newcastle Core) (Used OEM)
    Gigabyte GA-K8NE (Used)
    2.5 Gig DDR400 PC3200 (1 gig Kingston, 1 gig Samsung, 512 megs Samsung)
Saphire Radeon HD4830 512 Megs (Brand New)
    Soundblaster Audigy SE

So here is the problem ! Sometimes, the computer crashes, and automatically reboots. I unchecked the option to auto reboot the computer. Since then, when it happens, I lose the picture and the sound starts stuttering (The computer still runs) and I must press the reset switch to stop it.

I tried looking for high temperatures in the system but none are too High. I ran a stability test for 8 hours. The result was ROCK SOLID ! I tried Warming the CPU but after 1 hour the temperature was not higher than 61 C. I even looped 30 crysis benchmarks test and the system made it thru without any worries (except for low framerate, all the settings were at HIGH).

The problem always happens when I am surfing the net and chatting with friend on Windows live mssenger. But it doesn't happen very often !

I looked in the event viewer but only noticed ATI logs that my brother also gets on his PC (He doesn't have the same bug as I)

Except for that little bug everything works great ! I even got 31 200 points in 3D Mark 03 ! (ran the test thrice and even tried 06 once)

    - So i figured the graphic card seems to work great ! (GPU TEMP = 50 at full load)
    - Same for the CPU and RAM (I haven't tested RAM with memtest but I had no problem with them before)
    - As for the motherboard, physically she looks like she's new and no transistors are rusted or anything.
    - Other parts were working well before.

So I looked at one of the Mini Dump I got from the second crash !

    It goes like this:

    UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
    If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
    use .trap on that value
    Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
    Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 00000000, EXCEPTION_DIVIDED_BY_ZERO
    Arg2: 00000000
    Arg3: 00000000
