windows xp features missing??

I reinstalled windows xp media center edition 2005 into a Dell inspiron 6000. It seems as though there are features missing. I cant seem to find any sound or connect to the internet in any way. There isn't a speaker icon and there aren't any little computer icons in the right hand corner neither. I know I'm missing something here and thats why I'm on here looking for answers. Is there more to the re installation? Or is there a second disc I'm missing?

Not sure how to install some things.Not sure how to install the sound driver or enable it. And not sure what I'm missing for internet connection. Sorry I've never did a reinstall before.

 

In "device manager", Under "other devices" there are question marks for for the items listed. I can't seem to get it straightened out.

I certainly appreciate the help, but part of my problem is I cant connect to the internet, to gain access to these drivers. I have a cable modem and tried connecting to it with ethernet cable and would not connect. The computer I'm writing this with works fine.
