Windows Xp Firewall

I'm having a disagreement with myself and I seem to be losing.....

I don't need an additional personal firewall with XP do I? I don't think I do but she thinks I do need one.....

Please can you stop me arguing with myself!

ok i would honestly sya that the default XP firewall is absolutly fine if your computer if for home use. Just make sure you have good anti virus
Eg: AVG free.. my best pick.

On the other hand if you are still vervous i would suggest zone Alarm fire wall. It is very powerfull and easy to use. http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp

I've got the Sunbelt Kerio firewall and Avast anti virus...(AVG let me down a few months ago......got loads of those germs inside my laptop)

I'll uninstall the Sunbelt I think!

It didnt give you germs in you latop is would have probably been finding them all sitting there.

AVG is perfect in all way in my opinion the only thing that can get annoying is the constant updates.

Do yourself a favour and search "firewall" here. The overwhelming majority of opinions inclines to the view that the Windows Firewall is woefully leaky and inadequate (particularly if you don't have a cable router firewall as well).

It only addresses incoming traffic, and not outgoing. So, as someone else put it, if Badbug has managed to sneak into your computer and decides to call Mama and tell her all about you, or you're not going to know about it.

Yeh but think of the odds. windows xp firewall is fine, and if you get a keylogger or such your anti spyware will pick it up.

But like i said if your still unsure i reccomend Zone Alarm
