So a friend of mine has a HP Pavillion a643n, and the OS is as stated above...When the system is restarted using XP restart it does not boot up again. The machine just shuts down when try a restart. Upon booting the machine again, windows give a DLL Error that reads

    "Error loading C:/program files/wildtangent/apps/CDA/cdaengine0400.dll,

The Specified module could not be found."

Ok, What the HELL does this mean? I think it may have something to do with SB S&D but, am not sure. The problems may be independant of each other, or they may be connected somehow, but as I said before I have no idea. Any help is appreciated....Thanks

WildTangent is a plugin for online gaming similar to Macromedia's flash. It is used for 3D online and offline games that play in the web browser. Sounds ok, right? However, the program will share your name, address, email address, phone number, and other information with other companies. It collects system configuration information such as your computer's CPU speed, video card configuration, and DirectX version. It collects product usage information such as the number of product launches and time spent using a product. It will retrieve and install additional software (more adware and spyware). And of course, to help pay for itself, it will deliver advertisments to your computer.

The games are just a front so that you agree (via license agreement) for them to spy on you, and pop ads in front of you.

Does the computer halt after this message, and goes no further? Or will it continue to boot?

Go to your add / remove programs and remove WildTangent or WT if present.

Then restart your computer. Go to Windows Explorer and look for:

C:\Program Files\WildTangent < delete this folder (may also be named 'WT')

See if that stops the problem / error message. note: WildTanget is hard to remove sometimes, so go here, http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 for more instructions and qualified assistance in the removal of WildTangent.
