Windows XP Home Edition Virus

    I am having a problem with my computer and I believe that it has a virus. Whenever I start it up, it goes to the Windows XP screen, then to my desktop for about half a second then starts over again...it does this over and over and never stops. I've tried to start it in safe mode, last known good configuration, etc and nothing is working...have any suggestions? Is there a boot program I can run that will fix the problem?
