I am wanting to upgrade my Windows Xp Home OEM to Pro, so I got Pro, and tried to install it using the upgrade option and the key I was given. However, it did not recognize the key, so I think it can only do a full install. Now, I am not sure what will happen if I do the full install. Will it install seperately from XPH or will it overwrite the XPH files? Or do I need to partition my drive and install XPP on the extra partition? If so, what is a good program to use to accomplish this task of partitioning?

    Thanks,

    bbbco

Maybe consider to disconnect from the Internet while installing/upgrading, as the Blaster and Sasser will have your machine crashing during install. Also make sure to have updates downloaded that patches your machine from being vulnerable to these attacks, and apply them before reconnecting to the Internet.
