windows XP home very slow after hibernation

Hello..

I'm having trouble.. comming out of hibernation.

I searched the forum and found a thread that is very similar.. but unfortunately there was no solution. I think he said it better than I .. so I copied his words below from 2002.

I usually end up with 2 browsers open Opera.. and Netscape. ( I prefer Opera.. but it dosent work well with my Gmail account.. so I end up opening netscape to read mail.. ) then.. if left idle.. (Ithink this is the correct term) it goes into hibernation.. and when I return.. and hit a key or mouse.. to stop the skreen saver.. and continue, it takes for ever.. to be able to resume.. the task at the computer.

I dont remember this being a problem when I got the computer .. a dell w/512 ram.. cable internet connection.

so this is my problem.. thanks for your help..

Default excessive memory usage after hibernation
I have windows XP with 1gig memory. I have Verizon DSL hookup. Problem is when it comes out of hibernation, the task manager shows all processes are like over 20 grand in memory usage. If i reboot evrything goes back to normal. The excessive usage doesn't seem to affect, or slow anything down. Any ideas?
