Windows XP:How much RAM?

    I have norton installed.It is using a lot of resources.My computer is very slow.I have 128mb RAM.P4,1.6Ghz.Is my system hardware allright for xp?I do not have anyother sw installed only office?

    windows usually needs 256mb to run decent if you do not have alot of intensive programs 512mb should be fine.

    go for as much as u can.... the more u have to more it uses, sometimes it uses up to 1Gig on mine

    256Mb is the recommended minimum. You don't really need 512Mb if you aren't playing games. However, 512Mb is nice to have in case you want to have a few programs running at the same time.

    256MB if you want to have WindowsXP
    512MB if you want to do anything with it.
