Hi, I am having a problem with my internet connection on my Windows XP computer. I have another computer at home which uses Windows ME and that is the primary computer that connects directly to the internet. The Windows XP one uses a router. The internet was working fine for both computers but not the Windows XP which is connected to the router is not working. The symbol at the bottom which indicates the network connection is not there anymore. I have tried plugging and unplugging the cable that goes into the router but still no luck. I tried deleting the networking and re-installing it but it won't let me disable the Local Connection. If anyone can help me, please let me know how I can fix this. Thanks!

OK, you confused me a bit here. You said "The internet was working fine for both computers but not the Windows XP". So by both do you mean there is a third computer? Or do you mean the XP one worked once but now doesn't?

Also, your setup sounds quite odd. You claim the XP computer is plugged into the router, and that the ME computer is plugged directly into the modem? So if this is the case what the is the router plugged into?
