Windows Xp MBR issue

Okay, so i have a spare 160GB Hard Drive to play with right?
I wanted to install Windows XP sp3 because i found drivers for my Workstation i had problems finding... anyways I was doing the install and it gave me two partitions the MBR which was 352mb and my 160GB hard Drive! I highlighted my hard drive choosing where i wanted my Windows Xp to install so i did. I noticed that the 352mb which was the MBR was named [C:] and my hard drive was [D:]
i didn't pay anymind i though Windows would put it as [C:].
Well i get everthing set then boot into desktop and start installing my drivers... but Windows was warning me saying "Low disk space" I right click Computer and left clicked open and saw that [C:] was the 352mb and [D:] is my hard drive. It only let me install 1 driver and that was it... Windows is peeing and pooping on it's self. Please help me here geeks. Thanks! :bangheadks!

Just chiming in here, although I don't have alot of experience with partitioning. I don't recall ever Windows XP installing itself into two partitions. Actually, I just checked, and there is only one single partition on the XP PC I have here at home.

Was there anything unusual about the installation that you noticed?

Someone who knows partitions will be along soon who can probably shed some light on this for me. Just curious, as I haven't seen that before...the MBR on a separate named partition...
