Can you be a little bit more specific about that? You mean Windows Update / Microsoft Update?

    Try http://www.update.microsoft.com/

Do you get failed updates? If so, what is the error code? (Click or right-click on the red x icon to see the error code.)

pimmp...might help if you list the error message you are getting too if you are getting one.

Comodo Programs Manager is free and has a Windows updates assistant. Click on the "Windows Updates" tab on the left and then on the "Available" tab on the top.

You might also be able to get the ball rolling by manually installing SP2 and then SP3 from Microsoft. They are availble as straight downloads from MS. Google "download XP SP2" (then SP3). You may also want to check before downloading in Add/Remove to see if your installation of Windows included any service packs. They appear in the programs list as "Windows XP Service Pack 2", etc.

    Hi,
I found this thread while searching for My problem. I have tried to install SP2 & 3 after a fresh install & after restarting after installs It won't reboot & i have to restore the computer again. tried to install SP1 But it says I have a newer version then SP1 all ready. I don't see any Service packs installed in Commodo Program Manager. I tried the MS fix-it program & it said I need SP3.

Thanks for any help you can give.
