Hi. I was needing to delete my hard drive and install a new formatted windows xp pro. I purchased my computer on ebay and it came with a win xp pro disk but I don't think it's a legitimate copy. Will I be ok to use this disk? Is there a help desk that I can print out that will take me step by step through the process of deleting my hard drive and then installing a new version of xp pro? Thank you for your help.

What makes you think it's not a legitimate copy

Is it an original CD or a burnt copy?

You can check whether it's genuine or not HERE.

To install Windows XP is very easy, just set your Bios to boot from CD as the first device, insert the XP CD, reboot and just follow the prompts.

Once the setup files have been installed, remove the CD and let it boot from hard drive.
