I "had" Xp home and decided to upgrade to Pro. During the upgrade an error occured that stated "the parameter is incorrect" and it wouldnt let me proceed and just kept restarting and trying to install again. Everytime i turn on my computer it tries installing Pro again and I cant even log onto my desktop on Home.

Unfortunately, getting stuck in an upgrade from Home to Pro is a death sentence.

There are a couple things you can try, but you are probably looking at a parallel install or a clean install.

This will cancel a repair install; it may cancel an upgrade too.

    Follow the portion for NTFS.
It sounds like it could be a cd burnign software problem (incompatible with setup), but without the exact error you received and at what point, there is no way to be for sure.
