Windows XP pro x64

Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with my connection. About a week ago I recieved a virus that wouldnt even let me access the internet, I was able to remove it but i believe that im still being hacked through my internet. I am on a cable network connection and when I log onto my computer and get on the net it slows everyone down to dial up speed including myself. When I shut my computer down everyone is running full blast. I don't know exactly what to do but I figured i could reformat to make everything better? The problem is I used a windows xp pro x64 cd that i own with the product keys I installed this on an AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual core computer. With the CD I have I am unable to remove the OS it will in no shape or form allow me to delete or reformat my computer. I'm at a stand still please help and thank you.

You might try finding an old Win98 boot floppy and booting into fdisk (which, to my knowledge, will format anything)...if you don't have a floppy drive, I'm sure you could find a flash boot sequence that would include fdisk...

Odd that the WinXP disk won't let you format - are you reaching the options screen at all when you boot to the CD?

yea i am able to reach the screen it just says that it is unable to delete partition because it has files that run the operating system. Really weird. I dont know a sole with windows 98 hahaha
