Heheh, there is a list that MS has of known software that is broken by SP2, at least in beta. And its not all old software. I know some gamers are gonna be upset too.

Will be interesting to see if that gets resolved by the time its released.

    Hi robo
I am using it. There were only two program's that were not not working after the install which in my case took 40 minutes. As you can imagine i was sweating as i had not finished updating the update section and the computer was making a hell of a noise in deleting all the windows files on the computer then going on to update them. When it was done the computer rebooted itself and then froze at the desktop for about 15 minutes. After which seam to go OK. The program's that failed to work correctly were style xp and java. So having uninstalled those two program's i then went back to the website and downloaded fresh copies and all is now well. The security aspect works much better in general and feel you will like the improvement's. I hope so :)

    G.T. R.I.P February 4, 2007. You will be missed.

I'm going to be annoyed to see all email graphics disabled by default. I often send emails with graphics, articles or personal stuff. Most users won't even know how to re-enable it, and any graphic rich emails will be crippled.

I know that spammers are using web-bugs in emails and other annoying intrusions that this will stop, but it's going to make email pretty drab in the process.

And I personally plan to wait a while to install it. Microsoft service packs in general have a long tradition of causing fresh problems. I'll wait and watch a while until some of the inevitable gets identified and sorted out.

    Hi Guys
I Forgot to add that should you download the SP2 Service pack The first thing you should do is "besides praying" Make sure every thing is backed up properly with no services running. If you don't like it for any reason it does uninstall OK :) When finished you will be able to delete the two large temporary folders that you will find in the windows folder that will be stored top upper left. There are easily recognised so you will not be able to mistake them.
