I am running Windows XP Professional / Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core / ASUS A8N32 SLI-Deluxe. Immediately after installing SP3, I got the BSOD so quickly I couldn't read any info, and then automatically restarted, and continued this cycle. I couldn't get it to boot in safe mode, or any other mode. I removed all Floppy/IDE devices except my primary hard drive, and it booted fine. I started adding devices, and every time I add a different HD, either as a primary slave or a secondary master or slave, the computer won't get any farther than the Windows boot screen before the BSOD. The bios recognizes the drives, I have tried all possible jumper configs (MA/SL, CS/SL, CS/CS, MA/CS) and installing Win XP Pro SP3 on different HDs with the same results, (so I could rule out that it was a Seagate or WD problem). I have tried rolling back the drivers on my primary IDE channel, secondary IDE channel, and Standard Dual Channel PCI/IDE controller as well, to no avail.
Of a lesser; but maybe related; concern, I have also had problems with my CDRW/DVDRW master/slave configuration that I prefer to have on my secondary IDE channel, but both these drives have given me problems b4 in SP2, and I have been unable to determine if this is a continuation of earlier issues, or related to the probs I am having with running a slave drive on my primary controller.
    Any Ideas?
