windows xp shutdown

hi

ive just upgraded my pc from m.e to xp and ime haveing problems shutting the system down

when i was on m.e after clicking to shut down the pc would turn itself off but now it just gose to the it is now safe to shut down your pc screen.

is there a way to make xp auto shutdown?
