windows XP taskbar help

    Hello all,
    I am running window xp home on my laptop. I am having problems with my taskbar.
    I have it setup for autohide. but it will not work.
    when first setup it will hide untill i move my mouse of it. then it will not hide again until i got back and change my settings again
