One of the features of PowerSuite 2010 is Driver Scanner which finds 5 outdated drivers in my PC. Downloading & installing these makes the computer completely unstable - I am now doing System Recovery for the third time. Has any one had similar problems and how can I backup my system before using PowerSuite so as not to have to reinstall everytime from the recovery disk? Please help.

Was/is there anything wrong with your current drivers that you needed to update/replace them? If not, there is really no point updating drivers just for the sake of it.

If you must update your drivers, run a full system backup before you you proceed, either with the Windows Backup tool, or with any other backup program.

P.S. there are sometimes good reasons to update your device drivers, e.g. the latest Flash Player may perform better if the drivers for your display adapter are updated. But before you trust any program to do that for you, make 100% sure that the drivers are the correct ones for your hardware.
