    Hi everyone..
My system is Xp Version 2002 , Service pack 2..
quite after around 6 months, i gave the option of " automatically installing windows updates"..
hence today IE 7 got installed..
Later , now i got a message sayi " XP Service Pack 3 " is to installed..
i clicked on Yes..and then came the message that " windows recommend BAcking up ur system before installation". rolleyes

As i havent backed up my SyStem Yet , I cancElled the XP Service pACK 3 OPTION.

So is it necessary that I install the Service Pack 3 edition...Do i really need to BAck up my system as MIcrosoft tells ??!!rolleyes

well as a general rules its advisable to back up your system before installing major updates, like service packs...and especially microsoft windows service packs....
do it urself, and allow the installer to do it as well, will only take around 15 minutes out of ur way or a bit more, but at least u can have a safepoint to roll back to in case things go wrong at any given time....
