My laptop (which was working fine on Friday) now will not boot up. It just sits at the Windows screen with the blue bar scanning by forever. I can boot up fine in safe mode but I don't know where to go from there. I tried cleaning up the temp files, etc. Any suggestions?

It's a Dell Inspiron laptop... about 2 years old. It's running Windows XP Media Center Edition. I'm not sure what other info you need. The service tag from Dell is FVC5VB1. That will give you all of the specs on the hardware. Like I said, it worked fine Friday afternoon and just sits at the Windows screen with the blue bar running across now. I can get into safe mode very easily but I don't know what to do from there. Thanks for the help!

Well, I made a boot disk on a CD with the boot.ini, NTDLR and ntdetect.com files and the computer booted up fine. I guess something happened to one of those files over the weekend... who knows with Windows! Anyway, I'm fixed up... thanks for the help anyway!
