    My user account keeps displaying how many email messages I have unread and on which accounts e.g. hotmail, yahoo
    How can I stop this from being displayed on the desktop as other people use this pc and I do not want them to all know my email addresses

    The easisest way is to use TweakUI, part of the PowerToys range from Micro$$oft.


    If you don't want that, you can download THIS file to your desktop, then just double-click, and if it asks you say YES.
