    I have a gaming computer, that has Win XP. I just purchased Win 7, Can i install Win 7, and not loose any of my files. Or would i have to re format.

    Generally speaking, when upgrading from XP to 7, you cannot save your games/programs/applications and have them fully functional in Windows 7. You can save your pictures, music, documents, and stuff like your Internet Explorer (or Firefox/Opera/Chrome) favorites. Hopefully you used Firefox in WinXP since it is VERY easy to completely migrate your entire profile (including shortcuts and plugins) from one FF install to another....

    .... keep in mind that I did NOT read any of the info in the link posted above by LauraR and it may negate everything I said above about not being able to move programs, games, etc....
