Okay, how do I tell whether my Windows 98 disk is the original disk. I've been asked that question. I don't know.
It has windows98 on it and the years 1981-1996 and the part# X03-42696
Does anyone know how to tell that.

oops what I meant was how to tell if it is the first 98 upgrade. I know it's genuine cause it has the hologram on the disk.

Hi!! Welcome to MGs!! As far as I know there has only been 3 Win98 disks, 1. Win98 upgrade, which was used to upgrade Win95 to Win98, 2. the full install of Win98, and 3. Win98SE (Second Edition). It should be marked on the disk. If it doesn't say Windows 98 Upgrade, or Windows Second Edition on the disk, then you have the full install. Hope that helps!!;)
