    Will this link download a program that will remove Windows 98 and install XP?

    There are no programs you can download from the internet to legally install Windows XP.

    Suppose you explain what you want to do and what hardware you have.

    The purpose of the disk "XP startup disk allows computers without a bootable CD-ROM to perform a new installation of the operating system."
    I have one very old computer (Dell Optiplex) in which the BIOS doesn't allow me to boot from the CD drive.
    If I chose to install XP (though I doubt the hardware would accept XP), I'd need something like this.
    I have a special floppy that I can boot from that allows me to run a live linux CD on that computer.
