wininit.exe: missing/unable to load

I have an IBM Net Vista. I added an extra 256 ram and am using Windows ME as my operating system.
I had a problem with %1 %2 and was told to rename the wininit file. Since I did that when I boot up I get the message in my title. Does anyone have any ideas?

You've got a trojan. Check these links for info:

And there's a removal tool here:

Make sure you disable System Restore, then reboot and only enable SR after the trojan is cleaned.


[Edit] OK, maybe I jumped the gun. Apparently there is a valid ME version of wininit.exe? I would still run that removal tool, just in case...
