When I try to start my computer, I get the following message:
"WinLogon.exe could not locate component. This application has failed to start because netukhnd.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
My computer locks up and I cannot proceed further.
I have tried booting from the Windows XP CD, and also safe mode, and the results are the same. I am sure that I have some virus.
How can I start my computer to run virus detection and removal software?

Keep trying to restart the PC in Last Known Good mode. If you still cannot access Windows after about 12 attempts, maybe DR.Web LiveCD can help.
