winlogon.exe-resource hog

    winlogon.exe uses a large amount of resources. Does anyone have a solution?

    Thanks for the reply. That was the first thing I tried. No viruses showed.

    Same issue started yesterday. Ran v scan and Spy scan but came up empty.
    Still looking for a solution.

    I disabled my antivirus (McAfee-McSheild.exe.) the issue dissapeared. I don't know for sure what the connection between the two (McSheild.exe and winlogon.exe) is. Other than that I am still looking for a solution.
