Hi! I recently copied WinMount from my Win11/64 laptop to a Win7/64 laptop I recently received at my day program. I can't mount an archive but can compress and decompress information with it. This is okay, as I wrote a batch file to temporarily decompress the information, open the folder, wait until I'm finished then recompress the information. However, I have two problems: 1. I haven't yet written the line to open the folder in Explorer, and 2. WinMount is not recompressing the files properly. I can solve #1 on my own but need help with #2. First, I was using the -E switch instead of -C. I fixed that. Now, I am getting a syntax error at the files to compress. I don't have the batch file on-hand, but, IIRC, the erroneous line is as follows:

    C:\WinMount\WinMount.exe -C *.* "-o:%1"

BTW, how do I set the compression mode?

BTW, the error occurs at "*.*."

Never mind. "." seems to work.
