    Hi,

On a daily basis I archive a directory using WinRar (command line mode). The directory holds 10 date / time stampped files. The system that places files in the directory automatically deletes the oldest file thereby limiting the total to 10. Each file is quite large.

This is the winrar command I am running

    Code:
    "C:\Program Files\WinRar\WinRAR.exe" u -wd:\temp -r -m5 "D:\RBkZ\Sge" "D:\RBk\Sge\*.*"
My problem is that the files removed from the directory are not erased (the process is additive) and therefore the archive is constantly growing.

I would like to avoid having to delete the entire archive and creating it again if possible.

Is there a switch that causes WinRar to mirror the contents of a directory exactly?

    Thanks.

Clarification: The file names incorporate within them the date and time; this means that files will never overwrite one another.
