Winrar Problem [edd080]

    Hi to all, i am sorry for posting in this thread, I know its a bit old but iam having the exact same problem, Iam using Vista Home Premium (SP1) (32-bit), & winrar 3.71, whenever i extract a rared ISO iam getting these blessed crc errors, i then go on my laptop & this extraction works fine, my laptop has also Vista Home Premium (SP1) (32-bit) & also winrar 3.71, I have tested my ram & tried all possible solutions, can't figure out what else i can do.
    Has there any been light on this issue please?

    I was referring to a compressed ISO which is compressed into a number of rar files. Whenever i uncompress these rar files to have my ISO image, it is this extraction process which gives me these crc errors.

    What software are you using to extract the files? (name and version number)

    That's the latest so I can't tell you to update. I had problems with older versions of WinRar giving me CRC errors.
    I can point you to two other programs that worked for me when winrar wouldn't: 7zip http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4603.html
    and Universal Extractor http://www.filehippo.com/download_universal_extractor/
    you do not have to make them the default for your rar files (you can keep winrar) but for the file(s) you have trouble with, right click and select either 7zip or universal extractor and you will have the option to extract the file(s).
